Due to the recent changes in the regulatory climate here in the USA, we’re starting a series of good faith efforts, starting with converting all held ecosystem BUSD balances to USDC. Currently, BUSD plays an integral role in the current token contract, this will need to be changed during the migration process. Our community has identified a strong and sustainable path forward.
Now onto the fun stuff!
– Mobile Gameplay: After many hours of development and adjustment, our game developers have been able to successfully install and play the Tower Defense Alpha on a mobile device! Currently, networking does not work on mobile and a custom API to handle these server-side events such as user authentication is scheduled to be implemented next.
– Feedback Submission Form: The team has created a general-purpose feedback collection form. Developers and team members participating in the ALPHA can use this to streamline the process.
– Character Weapons: All three character weapons have been added to the game and are now fully upgradeable and ready to be added to user loadouts.
– Retopology: Retopology (or retopo) is a step in the 3D modeling process where an object’s polygonal mesh is modified or recreated to obtain a cleaner layout while maintaining nearly the same physical shape of the model. This is a critical component of the creation process due to the low-poly art styling of the Apollo & Friends universe. You can see a great example of this in the Orc behind-the-scenes below.
